The fall electives are: A Look at Missions - Taught by Gerry Sweger Learn about the "M" in C & M A by looking at the history of missionary work in the Alliance, as well as hearing first hand from current and past missionaries. This class will explore what God has been, and is currently doing, throughout the world. Learn about the men and women who have been involved, and how you can participate in the Great Commission. Foundation - Taught by Brian Yingling & Janelle Williams Everyone needs a firm foundation in order to grow in their understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. This class is designed to be a fundamental course in learning about the basic truths of Christianity. Topics will include salvation, prayer, worship and fellowship. Come and learn some of the essential truths you need in order to grasp more completely what it means to be a Christian. Hermeneutics Survey - Taught by Matt Lourdeau What is hermeneutics? Essentially, it is the study of understanding and applying the Bible. We will focus on topics such as inspiration, historical treatment, and contextual issues in scripture. The goal of this class is to equip you with the tools to approach and accurately interpret the Word of God. This class will be limited to 15 students. The Book of Revelation, Part 2 - Taught by Mike Snyder The aim of the Book of Revelation is not only to present to us the coming King (and the purpose of His Kingdom), but also to see how the Lord deals with a world that has turned its back on God and turned toward Satan. Our Lord is not only a God of love, but also a just God. Revelation portrays the Lord as the Prince of Peace, the Risen Son of Man, the Faithful Witness, the Firstborn/Begotten from the dead, the Bright Morning Star, the Alpha and the Omega. Meet this Jesus in the fall! As a challenge, pick up Quiz #1 in the foyer! Classes start September 7th. Won't you join us each Sunday at 9:30 am as we dive into some of the most important topics of our generation?
